I have the pleasure to refer to your attentive letter of the
6th instant.
This office has no objection in conceding the leave which you
ask for three months,counting from the first of the present month,
lezwe to which you are entitled according to the stipulations in
the contract celebrated between yourself and the Government.
As to the rescission of the contract which you propose in your
letter, the Government laments to have to accept your proposal,
and advises you that from the first day of June of this year, theđate
on which expires the leave to-day conceded to you, the contract will
be considered ter inated. It would be highly satisfactory for this
Ministry to celebrate with you a new contract, as soon as the situation
of the Treasury may permit.
The undersigned, in the name of the Government of the Republic,
presents to you the fallest thanks for the valuable and important
serices given by you to the country in the fulfillment of your
duties.
